Real impact in the words of the builders we support.

From early-career engineers leading production teams to educators seeing classrooms transformed, our community members define our mission.

The Veridon Fellowship was the turning point in my career. Before, I was building basic tutorial apps; after 16 weeks of 1:1 architecture reviews with Veridon staff engineers, I was designing low-latency fraud inference engines that process millions of queries a day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our community work.

Clear answers on our commitments, selection criteria, and how to get involved.

Yes, 100%. Veridon Technologies does not charge tuition, application fees, or take equity in exchange for participation in our Developer Fellowship, Buildathons, or campus workshops. Our community initiatives are funded entirely through Veridon’s corporate social investment commitments.

The fellowship is designed for junior and mid-level software engineers across Africa who already possess foundational programming proficiency (in languages like Python, JavaScript, Go, or Rust) and wish to transition into senior systems architecture, distributed backend engineering, and production AI inference. Cohorts are selected through a merit-based, anonymous code assessment and technical interview.

Community members, school administrators, and non-profit partners can submit a nomination through our Get Involved form. Priority is given to public secondary schools in underserved rural and peri-urban areas that currently lack dedicated computing facilities, safe electrical infrastructure, or access to qualified STEM educators.

Absolutely. We actively welcome experienced African diaspora engineers and international practitioners to volunteer as guest clinic reviewers, codebase mentors, and masterclass speakers. Sessions are held virtually to accommodate global time zones.

We provide pro-bono security audits, identity verification infrastructure, and compliance reviews to legally registered non-profit organizations, humanitarian coalitions, and civil society groups operating in Africa whose primary mission serves vulnerable populations or expands democratic access.
